The design for this competition developed as a series of experiments applying advanced functions using Maya, Rhino 3D and Grasshopper. The form of this pedestrian walkway is based on the raw aesthetic of the adjacent, iron-truss bridge built in 1903. Scripting functions generated a cell structure to replace the typical truss with a sophisticated lattice to be fabricated using steel members and allowed to weather, mimicking the Bathurst Street Bridge.

The bridge stimulates pedestrian-level circulation between two neighborhoods at risk of being subsumed by massive condo developments.
